This is something from a Monty Python sketch originally, but I think it bears repeating. My Dad told me about a similar experience when he was a child. A substitute teacher asked the class if they thought themselves to be individualists. They all did, except my father who admittance to normalcy.

   I just saw the movie "Into the Wild" on my laptop. I have read the book before, but the movie is equally intense and insightful. There is something in the spirit of the thing that I understand but fail to emulate in my own life, a certain kind of sincerity of a clear and naive mind. No doubt if he had survived the transformation he would have been an amazing person to talk to, or so I would like to think. He might have also been a complete prick...
